Jim Martin Auto Sales, Inc. - A Quick History by Matt Martin       When Jim Martin, my dad, began his used car dealership in 1965, US Rte. 2 was little more than a tarred wagon road weaving through the cow pastures and rolling foot hills. He was a pioneer of the Asian import era, starting in 1970.       My interest began this early. By 10 years old I was learning to repair and prepare an automobile for sale and service in the rugged terrain of West-central Maine. My dad taught me that a good name in business is an overall reflection of the owner's character and nothing less than customer satisfaction would be rewarding.       Today, even though U.S. Routes 2 & 4 is four lanes of bustling asphalt through one of the busiest business corridors in the state of Maine, it's nice to know that some things haven't changed. The CUSTOMER still comes first!       Now Jim is basking in the Florida sun and has passed the torch on to me for the new millennium. I could not have asked for a better mentor in the automobile business. I am proud to keep his name and reputation in the highest standards our clients have come to expect and respect.                                                              - Matt Martin
